Program Description

Event Details

On Monday afternoon, April 8, a large swath of the US -- from southern Texas, up through the midwest and into New England -- will be treated to one of nature's most spectacular displays: a total solar eclipse.

Join us to hear retired NASA astronomer Rich Isaacman tell us about this can't-miss stunning phenomenon: what it will look like, how and where to safely view it, how we have been able to predict eclipses for thousands of years, and what even casual viewers can learn about our Sun from them.

Open to adults, teens and anyone interested in the solar eclipse. Register to receive the Zoom link.

Maryland City at Russett Library hosts.

American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters are available with advanced notice for library-sponsored programs. To schedule an interpreter, complete this request form at least one week prior to the event date. For questions, email programming@aacpl.net.
