Through images, text, and narrative, archivist and historian Chris Haley will deliver a presentation which shares some of the measures which were addressed leading up to and culminating in the Emancipation Proclamation, November 1, 1864 abolition of Slavery in Maryland, and the announcement of freedom to those enslaved on a plantation in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865.
