Collecting antiques is a popular and fascinating hobby. In this presentation we'll look at aspects of collecting that anyone new to the field will want to know, including a bit about the history and culture of collecting and useful basic terminology. We'll examine criteria commonly used to evaluate antiques and collectible items, how to secure an appraisal, tips from the experts, and some valuable resources for further learning.

This online event is part of our ongoing Virtual Visit series, where we hope to present information of interest to adults on a monthly basis. This event is hosted by Maryland City at Russett Library.
