Two men headed to Mexico on a fishing trip decide to pick up a hitch-hiker, who turns out to be a wanted sociopath. This intense thriller marks the first film noir directed by a woman, Ida Lupino. Based on a real-life crime spree, The Hitch-Hiker was selected in 1998 for preservation in the United States National Film Registry. Please stick around after the film for an audience discussion.
