Have you ever wanted to write your story—for yourself, your children, grandchildren? Have you struggled with how to begin? Then this free, two-hour workshop is for you! Everybody has a story—in fact lots of stories! Learn how to jump-start the process in a safe, supportive, and relaxed setting.

Karen Bovie is a Certified Guided Autobiography Instructor who will show you how you can write your story 2 pages at a time. You will learn about the purpose and process of guided autobiography; memory-jogging techniques; how to explore life themes and use priming questions to organize your narrative; and tips for mining the ‘good stuff’ buried inside the big picture. We will not be doing any writing during the workshop, but there will be an exercise that demonstrates the importance of sharing life stories when using the Guided Autobiography method.

For more information on the full Guided Autobiography program, check out Karen’s website at yourlifewellwritten.com.

Hosted by Eastport-Annapolis Neck Library. Please note that this event is in-person. Requirements for participation include social distancing and wearing a mask. You will be notified as soon as possible if we need to cancel the event due to the pandemic.

Complete the registration form for each person attending. In-person events are limited to 12 people.
